Disney Retains Rights to Go Nuclear in Florida

Imagine Mickey ears on a nuclear power plant.

Walt Disney World could still pursue building a nuclear power plant on their sprawling Central Florida property after a bill to strike that provision failed in the state legislature.

According to the "Orlando Sentinel," the nuclear plant was written into the papers that first created Disney World 50 years ago.

While the company could go nuclear, it's taking a different approach.

It recently unveiled a solar power farm that is twice the size of the Magic Kingdom and it is in the shape of Mickey Mouse.
