Police Impersonators Target Home in Miami-Dade

The Miami-Dade Police Department, Robbery Bureau, is investigating a home invasion that occurred at 15006 NW 87 Court.

According to investigators, two males arrived in a Chevrolet Silverado with a covered tag. The owner was not home; however, two victims were inside when the crime occurred.

"The subjects knocked on the front door, one victim opened it and noticed they were wearing a bulletproof vest with the letters "FBI," said Detective Angel Rodrigue with the Miami-Dade Police Department.

Both victims were taken to the bathroom and told to stay inside. When they exited, the two victims noticed the suspects were gone.

Police say, the suspects drove off with duffel bags containing approximately $30,000 worth of jewelry and sports memorabilia.

No injuries were reported.
