Coast Guard Offloads Seized Cocaine

This morning the Coast Guard is offloading almost 35-thousand pounds of cocaine at Port Everglades.

The drugs were seized during 21 recent stops in the Eastern Pacific.

The cocaine being unloaded by the crew of the Cutter Forward has a street value of $466-million-dollars.

Other ships involved in the seizure include the Cutters Hamilton, Campbell, Alert, Venturous, and Confidence.

Most of the drugs were seized during the government shutdown, when the Coast Guard crews weren't getting paid.
