A Miami commissioner is trying to block a referendum that would let voters decide if they want a strong mayor.
Commissioner Joe Carollo filed a suit this week, arguing that the language of the referendum is misleading.
Carollo tells the Miami Herald that the referendum is, quote, "all about money and power."
Mayor Francis Suarez responded to the suit by accusing Commissioner Carollo of attempting to thwart the will of the people.
