The Florida Department of Children and Families is investigating an online video that appears to show a toddler holding a gun.
According to Action News Jax, the Facebook Live video was shot Wednesday in Jacksonville.
In the video, a 1-year-old girl is holding a gun -- which she points at a person. Authorities said the girl's mother was recording the video.
The mother says the gun is fake.
A person who watched the video live, in real time, told reporters the mother, who appears in the video, reacted like the gun was real and abruptly ended the recording.
The video has since been deleted from social media.
Police continue to investigate.
