FL Man Sent Back To Jail After Failing To Pay For Cab Ride Home From Jail

Here's one that you just have to shake your head at...

A Brevard County man didn't pay for his cab ride home from jail, so he ended up back behind bars.

Charles Folk, 40, was rearrested on Thursday and charged with petty theft.

Authorties say Folk told the cab driver he'd pay with a credit card once they arrived.

After traveling 30 miles to Folk's home, he told the driver neither he nor his roommate could pay the $70 fare.

Folk had just been released from jail after being convicted of criminal mischief. Officials say he had been convicted of ransacking his own home and damaging his roommate’s belongings.

Folk was being held on $2,000 bail.
