Gas prices throughout South Florida are soaring -- and not in the way we want them to.

Across the state of Florida as a whole, gas prices have risen by 11 cents from last week. That's according to AAA.

Motorists will pay an average of $2.74 for a gallon of gas – still two cents below the national average but the highest average in the Sunshine State since December 2014!!!

In Miami-Dade, your cheapest gas is at the Shell station located at 16051 South Dixie Highway where you can fill up your tank for $2.59.

In Broward, the Chevron station at 2425 Wilton Drive in Wilton Manors has fuel priced at $2.57 a gallon.
