AG Pam Bondi Wants Federal Court To Block Wishes Of Tallahassee Judge

Florida's top attorney wants a federal appellate court to stop a Tallahassee judge.

In a motion filed Monday, Attorney General Pam Bondi asks the 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals to stay Judge Mark Walker's order.

That order demands that, by April 26th, the state must change its process for restoring voting rights to felons.

The governor's communications director says, "Judge Walker recklessly ordered elected officials to change decades of practice in a matter of weeks.

"This does not give the victims of crimes the voice they deserve."
