FWC Investigating After Headless, Tailless Gator Found Dumped In FL County

Florida Fish and Wildlife officers are trying to figure out how a headless alligator ended up in some woods near Brevard County homes.

Authorities say a local jogger was the first one to spot the at-least-9-footer – she found it after following the terrible smell – laying right where somebody must have dumped it near the road.

The head and tail of the gator were missing.

Investigators say whomever is responsible for decapitating the alligator could face poaching charges.
