Your Instagram account isn't ready for this: Starbucks has launched a color-changing cold brew drink.
Unfortunately, the colorful beverage is only available in Asia, but the Butterfly Pea Lemonade Cold Brew will definitely still be on your social media feeds.
The drink is half-and-half with lemonade and half special iced tea. It's served as a purple-to-pale-yellow-to-rich-coffee ombre. As you stir (or sip), the colors swirl together, creating an almost galaxy-like effect. Imagine those cloudy swirls your iced coffee gets when you add half & half.
The big color-change effect is the result of the bottom layer — a tea made from Butterfly Pea Flower. The tea itself is blue, but when it reacts with the citrus in the lemonade, it turns violet.
