An Orlando federal judge has denied a change of venue request from the widow of the Pulse nightclub shooter.
Noor Salman's attorneys filed a motion in September for her trial to be moved out of the Central Florida area. They claimed she can't get a fair trial in Orlando because of extensive media coverage and that statements from Orlando Police Chief John Mina have created a bias against Salman in the area.
Noor Salman is accused of aiding her husband and obstructing the investigation of the June 2016 massacre that left 49 people dead.
In the judge's order, he quoted a U.S. Supreme Court ruling that "prominence of media coverage does not necessarily produce prejudicing and juror impartiality does not require ignorance."
