FL Man Behind Bars For Breaking Into Ex's Home, Punching Her In The Face

A 26-year-old Florida man is behind bars after authorities say he broke into his ex-girlfriend's home armed with a handgun, fired a round inside the house, and punched the girl in the face.

Paisley resident Jonathan Craig Rollason-Elliott faces charges of armed burglary, aggravated assault with a firearm and domestic battery.

Volusia County Sheriff's officers responded to a home on Pecan Street in DeLand around midnight Thursday. 

A 25-year-old female victim told deputies Rollason-Elliott showed up at her home, kicked in the door and started an argument with her. 

Rollason-Elliott allegedly pointed a handgun at her while he questioned and screamed at her. 

According to police, the victim said Rollason-Elliott fired a round at the ceiling and then punched her and left.
