Residents throughout South Florida have begun feeling Hurricane Irma’s effect.
As of Saturday morning, thousands of power outages were reported across our region.
As of 2 p.m., Florida Power and Light reported:
- 38,750 power outages in Miami-Dade County
- 7,390 power outages in Broward County
FPL has also provided a number to call and report downed power lines: 1-800-4OUTAGE (1-800-468-8243).
Residents with generators are reminded to use those safely.
