Alec Baldwin on Trump: Malicious, Bitter, & Angry

Yesterday, we talked about David Letterman's criticism of Donald Trump and his praise for Alec Baldwin's depiction of the 45th President of the U.S. on "Saturday Night Live".

Since Baldwin began emulating President Trump on the late-night sketch show, SNL has seen its best ratings in more than SIX YEARS! But Baldwin's impersonations may be shorter lived than we expected.

As Alec Baldwin sat down with Extra's Mario Lopez to talk about his new movie "Boss Baby", he touched upon his reluctance to continue his role as faux Trump.

"Trump just overwhelmingly lacks any kind of sportsmanship. He remains bitter and angry..." said Baldwin. "The maliciousness of this White House has people very worried... which is why I may not do it much longer, that whole impersonation. I don't know how much more people can take it." He told Lopez that he thought Trump would have really cooled down after winning the election, but hasn't.

In a separate interview with Jimmy Kimmel, Baldwin also alluded to the fact that there's not a very good chance that we'll see him playing President Donald Trump at the White House Correspondent's Dinner.

As he says in the interview, he's not saying he wouldn't, but that many others are lobbying for the role and "telling him he sucks". The actor doesn’t think organizers would appreciate his portrayal.

I guess we'll have to wait and see if President Trump gives in and faces the music... or the ballad.. or the Baldwin.
