Putting a Face to the Name



  • Ron Phillips has been in radio for 30 years, the last 15 in South Florida. He's worked at several local stations including Big 105.9, which was called WAXY 106 back in the day. He's worked every shift from overnights to mornings.

    Now you can hear Ron doing traffic reports for WIOD and Big 105.9. He claims it's the high point of his workday, even though he adds this disclaimer, "I must work side by side with the "famous" Richard Lewis."





    Richard Lewis is all over the place. He can be heard on our sister stations 940 WINZ, 93.9 MIA, and 103.5 SuperX. Richard has been reporting traffic for over 25 years in South Florida and considers himself an authority on traffic. "I am to traffic, what a Meteorologist is to weather."
