(Palm Beach, FL) - Donald Trump and House Speaker Mike Johnson are meeting at Mar-a-Lago on Palm Beach today to reportedly make a “major announcement on election integrity.”

The two are expected to push for a bill to ban non-citizens from voting, even though it's already illegal.

No state currently allows non-citizens to vote but, some municipalities may have their own rules for local races.

The former president has repeatedly claimed the 2020 election was rigged against him.

The event affords Johnson an opportunity to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with the party leader as he faces threats from some conservative Republicans to oust him as speaker if he moves forward with Ukraine funding.

Today's meeting also takes place three days before Trump becomes the first former president to be tried criminally.

Jury selection in a New York case related to a hush money payment to an adult film star begins Monday.
